Google Adsense Phishing fraud
I received a fake Amazon e-mail today. It looks like someone is combining Adsense click fraud, phishing, trademark infringement/counterfeiting, sender email spoofing and wire fraud all in one e-mail. Usually I just hit 'delete' on my spam, because I don't have time for phishing scams, but this e-mail was rather impressive in its meticulous effort to look legitimate.
I stopped adding funds to my Google ads account a while ago because I thought that many of the clicks were robotic in nature rather than by humans. This e-mail makes me think that perhaps some of that traffic was actually human, but of the careless type.
